Soldering Guns Write for Us
Soldering guns are used for applications where more heat is required as irons use lower power. This tool is used for joining stained glass, light sheet metal and heavy electronic soldering work.
What is Electric Soldering?
Electrical soldering is the process by which electronic components are connected to the circuit board using a filler material called solder to form the joint between them. Solder is a fusible alloy and has a melting point below 840°F.
What Metals are Used?
Filler metals used in soldering were once lead based (lead solder), however, owing to regulations, lead-based solders are increasingly replaced with lead free solders, which may consist of antimony, bismuth, brass, copper, indium, tin or silver.
1. 75WATTS/230VOLTS SOLDERING IRON
Maximum Temperature: upto 480°c
Ideal for the electrical and automotive industries. Comes with comfortable rubber coated handle. Continuous rated (24 hours)
Our heaviest of duty irons is intended for going where no smaller iron will do. Used in applications such as:
- Tinning up to 10sqmm (approx) wire lugs
- Soldering up to 10sqmm (approx) lugs
- Soldering copper sheets up to 1mm thick (approx)
- Large component soldering such as
- Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR)
- Various large terminal soldering
- Heavy electrical work
- Motor winding
- Note: Only copper, brass and solder able metals will adhere to the solder. Stainless Steel, Aluminium will not adhere.
2. USB IRON
Product Code: SIUSB
Our USB iron has been developed for a host of various circumstances:
Engineers on the go
Flexibility of use due to USB connector
Heats up in under 15 seconds
Long Lasting bit
If used with a power bank, this iron can isolate power and thereby provide safe anti-static use, especially where sensitive electronics is concerned.
Note: Please use with an isolated power source ie: Battery/Power pack/Portable Mobile Charger for best results.
Note 2: Soldron Soldering Irons work best with Soldron spares and accessories.
